13th Europe-Ukraine Forum

On February 4, in Rzeszow (Poland) started the 13th Europe-Ukraine Forum. Ivano-Frankivsk region was represented at the Forum by the Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Dmytro Romaniuk. At the panel discussion "Projects of international development assistance as an instrument of introduction of politics of east partnership at regional level" Dmytro Romaniuk presented the investment potential of the region and the results of the projects implemented jointly with the Polish partners.

During the meeting with former Marshal of the Polish Sejm Marek Kuchciński, Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Vladislav Ortyl, Vice-Voivode Jolanta Sawicka discussed possible directions of enhancing transborder cooperation, preparation of the EU macro-regional strategy for the Carpathian region. In particular, it was marked that the implementation of this strategy will promote ensuring integrated and sustainable development of the Carpathian region and the effective use of EU financial instruments for Ukraine.

It was emphasized on the necessity of creation a stable platform of cooperation of all the states of the Carpathian region, based on common values, traditions and interests, which arising from geographical location. An important issue is the possibility of using the cooperation of the Carpathian region countries as a tool for deepening the relations between the EU countries and Ukraine.

This year the Forum is entitled "Europe and Ukraine in 2020 - new opportunities, old threats". During the event, participants have the opportunity to engage in discussions on the multifaceted relations between Europe and Ukraine over the past year, and also to engage in a panel discussions and to present the investment potential of their regions.
